The Lions Club selection of the Butterfly Gardens as their Presidential Project was indeed a nod to Linda's membership in the Lions as well as her impact on so many aspects of environmentalism through both her volunteerism with the Byway Association over all the years and her position as executive director of the U of M's Central Region Partnership. Indeed, the Partnership is the source of this first grant that has started the garden development. It expires on June 30 and the expectation is that there will be a relatively seamless transition to the grant funding that Crosslake USACE has obtained through sources which should start on July 1.
